Frequently asked questions

Q: What if I need assistance with living?

A: We will assist you as unobtrusively and discreetly as possible with your needs.

Q: What about my meals?

A: West View always endeavour to augment the usual menu to meet your dietary needs.

Q: Do you have any restrictions or rules?

A: We always want residents to feel at home at West View and be relaxed. All we ask of residents is that they consider other residents in anything they intend to do.

Q: What if I need to see my doctor or other medical specialist like a chiropodist?

A: Your doctor - or any other medical specialist - is welcome to visit you at West View and you may receive this visit in the privacy of your own room.

Q: What if I want to make myself a cup of tea in my own room?

A: As long as you are not in any danger of harming yourself with the equipment, you will be provided with tea-making facilities within your room to use as and when you wish.

Q: If I want to bring my own bedding or furniture, would this be allowed?

A: Of course! West View encourages its residents to bring whatever personal belongings they wish when they move in, including furniture, bedding, photos and bric-a-brac, over and above more personal items such as clothing. However, we have a range of furniture available to equip your room adequately if you do not wish to bring anything of your own.
